This is relevant to my interests. But am I blind, where is the PSU?
  • Retycint - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

It's on the right side of the case, hidden behind the motherboard mounting plate.

Not bad, but I find it a bit confusing that we're still desperately holding onto the ATX standard after all this time. There are so many more interesting case design ideas rather than just simply adding 7 fans to a design from 20+ years ago.

SFX PSU is in back chamber

    > The Lian Li O11D Mini can fit ATX, ... motherboards, ...

    > At the rear is four PCI blanking plates, ...

Doesn't ATX require space for 7 PCI slots?
  • MenhirMike - Friday, January 10, 2020 - link

Yeah, that thing looks very small. I do wonder if they only "expose" 4 slots but have the vertical height for the full ATX - definitely something I'd check out in person before considering a purchase. (Not that I'm in the market for a new Tower, and especially none with tempered glass)

From the pictures of the inside and the back, it's hard to see how they manage to get a full ATX board in there. It will be interesting to see what it looks like when/if someone does.

There's actually a video out by der8auer that shows it.

The back plate is movable and slides up, and then another backplate is added at the bottom to give you the bottom 3 PCI slots.

    Thank you!

You will use another motherboard tray, which should have 7 slots.

The tray is integrated with the whole backplate, I suppose. Check a 20 years old case PC-60 and you can figure out.

This seems like a very strange thing to get its own article. There are so many far more interesting cases, not that I really want to see articles about computer cases on anandtech.
  • GreenReaper - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

Perhaps it's more about whether the cases want to be seen on Anandtech.
But maybe you could link a few interesting ones while you're here?

The <20L Sliger Cerberus X scoffs at this portly Lian Li being called a "mini" ATX case.
  • Death666Angel - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

    265€ plus shipping, totally comparable!
  • Retycint - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

I didn't know we were gatekeeping case sizes now? It's mini by pure virtue of being smaller than typical ATX cases. End of story
  • Dug - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

Yeah, this Lian Li still has massive amounts of dead space in it.
  • dwade123 - Saturday, January 11, 2020 - link

Too bad that case is fugly and overpriced with worse airflow

For RAD/AIO size there are multiple sites with conflicting information. Some sites to include a video at CES 2020 state that with a Micro ATX motherboard you can only fit 240mm with zero support of 280mm, but your site states it can fit a 280mm RAD with a mATX board. Just looking for clarity if it can be provided, as this will determine parts for my next build. Thank you for your help and support.
